The Holtz Center and Public Engagement with Science

One of the wishes of our founders, Robert F. and Jean E. Holtz, was that the Holtz Center make the work of scientists accessible to the public. To that end, in 2008 the Holtz Center for Science and Technology Studies initiated a series, which we hope to make permanent, of public forums on scientific issues which are also of broad concern to the public at large. These forums feature presentations by scientific experts, as well as the opportunity for discussion between scientists and attendees.
